In order to improve the safety and reliability of their natural gas system, Consumer’s Energy is investing to replace approximately 17,000 ft of natural gas pipelines in the City of Hastings. They are replacing aging parts of their natural gas system with more durable materials to enhance the safety and reliability of their system. They estimate that 90% of the work will be done with underground directions drilling to minimize disruptions. The project area spans from Mill St. to Charles St. north and south and from Jefferson St. to Kelly St. east and west. The project is expect to last 6 months starting in March 2020 and completing in August 2020.
