NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING THE ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE TO APPROVE AN AMENDED DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY PLAN AND TAX INCREMENT FINANCING PLAN
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Hastings, will hold a public hearing on the 27th day of March 2023 at 7:00 PM in the second floor Council Chambers at Hastings City Hall, 201 East State Street, Hastings, to consider the adoption of an ordinance approving an amendment to the Development Plan and Tax Increment Financing Plan for the Downtown Development Authority of the City of Hastings, pursuant to Part 2 of Act 57 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 2018 as amended. Copies of the proposed amendment to the Development Plan, Tax Increment Financing Plan, and map, etc. are on file at the office of the City Clerk for inspection. There will be no displacement of families and individuals under the development plan. The boundaries of the downtown district and development area are shown in the map below:
At the public hearing, all interested persons desiring to address the City Council shall be afforded and opportunity to be heard regarding the approval of an amendment to the Development Plan and Tax Increment Financing Plan for the Downtown Development Authority of the City of Hastings and all aspects of the Plan will be open for discussion at the public hearing. The governing body shall make and preserve a record of the public hearing, including all data presented thereat.
