November Leaf & Brush Pick-up
Starting Monday, November 8th, 2021
Brush chipping activity will begin on November 8th while leaf pick-up may lag behind a few days based on how many leaves have fallen. DPS will start at Boltwood Avenue and Court Street and work through the Second Ward. Once done with the Second Ward they will then proceed to the 3rd Ward, 1st Ward, and 4th Ward respectively. City residents will need to have all of their leaves and compostable yard debris to the curb by that time. Residents also have the option of taking leaves and compostable yard waste to the City Compost Facility on State Road Northwest of the cemetery, which is open on Monday (3-6 PM) and Saturday (9 AM – 2 PM)
Please place brush and leaves in separate piles next to the road (i.e. between curb and sidewalk), not in the road. If it rains while in the road it can cause stormwater to pond. Brush or tree limb maximum diameter is 3 inches. If brush is larger than this it will not be chipped and removed. Leaves are encouraged to be placed in large, lawn grade, paper bags. Any other kind of bag will not be picked up. We will keep the public informed of our schedule on our facebook page, City website, and 100.1 WBCH or call City Hall at (269) 945-2468.
